Fair local work, measured.
Jhatpat brings fair, digital, upfront-priced work to Bokaro. Partners keep 80–100% of every job, join with just Aadhaar and a phone, and are paid every Monday. Here is what we do, which UN Sustainable Development Goals it serves, and how we will prove it.
Most women in Indian cities are outside paid work.
Only 27.7% of urban women are in the labour force, against 76.2% of urban men, and 44.4% of women outside it name childcare or housework as the reason. Women in casual work earn ₹315 a day on average, men ₹455. Local service work could close that gap — but today it is informal, unrecorded and priced by bargaining at the door.

Six targets we serve directly.
Each names the official UN target and the number we report against it.
8.5 · Decent work, equal pay
Fixed prices per job, the same for every partner. We report net earnings per booked hour, by sex, against the Jharkhand minimum wage.
8.3 · Small enterprise
Partners run their own business with a digital record of jobs, ratings and payouts. We report active, earning partners.
8.8 · Safe work
ID and selfie checks, police verification, start codes and masked numbers. We report safety incidents per 1,000 jobs and how each was resolved.
5.4 · Valuing care work
Babysitting, elder care and home help become paid, rated work. We report care hours booked and what carers earn.
5.b · Technology for women
A Hindi-first phone app women run their own work from. We report the share of women among partners and earnings.
12.5 · Recycling and reuse
Scrap, e-waste and donation pickups by verified recyclers and NGOs at 0% fee. We report kilograms collected by type.
In part: 10.2 (inclusion: no fee, Aadhaar-only sign-up, Hindi first) and 8.10 (digital pay). Targets: sdgs.un.org.
The fair pay check
Home help is priced at ₹49 for 30 minutes. After our 20% fee a partner keeps ₹78.40 per booked hour, about 25% above Jharkhand's minimum wage for unskilled work (₹501.92 a day, or ₹62.74 an hour over 8 hours). She reaches the daily minimum at about 6.4 booked hours a day, before travel costs. So the impact we must prove is not the rate — it is filling her day. That is the number we will report.
What we do not claim
- Partners are independent contractors, not employees. We do not claim to provide social security.
- We count partners who earn, and what they earn — not sign-ups.
- We launched in October 2026. Until our first quarter's numbers exist, this page is intent and a measurement plan, not results.
- Our quarterly impact reports will include safety incidents, deactivations and disputes beside the good numbers.
What comes next
Jhatpat is bootstrapped. As we raise funding, the first thing it pays for is accident and health cover for active partners. Then savings and credit built on partners' payout history, an independent rating of our claims, and the same model in more Tier-3 cities.
