Service Partner Privacy Notice.

What we process about partners, what customers see, retention and rights.

Yurix Ventures Private Limited · CIN U62090UP2025PTC215977 · Version 1.8 · Effective 1 November 2026

The short version

To let you take jobs we verify who you are, share your name, photo, rating and licence reference with the customers you serve, track your location while you are online or on a job, and keep payout and tax records. Your Aadhaar number is never stored in full. Documents are kept 3 years after you leave; payout records 8 years.

One of the thirteen Jhatpat policies that form part of the Terms of Service. The same text is shown inside the app (Account → Legal & policies) and on our Google Play listing.

1. Scope

This notice supplements the Privacy Policy for anyone who applies to, or works through, partner mode of the Jhatpat app — individual professionals, shops, agencies, drivers, recyclers and NGOs and their listed staff. Yurix Ventures Private Limited is the data fiduciary.

2. What we process about you

  • Identity and verification — name, photo and live selfie, date of birth, gender (female, male or other, which you choose; customers may ask for a woman partner, and we use it only to match such requests), government ID (a photo of your Aadhaar or another accepted ID taken in the app; the number is kept only as a one-way hash and its last four digits, never in full), PAN, police-verification certificate, driving licence, vehicle registration, insurance and permits, shop, GST, PSARA, IRDAI, CPCB / SPCB, NGO or drug-licence details, and the results of verification checks.
  • Profile and skills — services and skills offered, training records, languages, service radius, availability hours, the agency or shop you belong to and the staff, vehicles or assets listed under it.
  • Payout and tax — UPI ID or bank account in your name, PAN, GST registration, invoices, TDS records, your ledger with Jhatpat (platform fees and other dues, your payments, and referral rewards taken off your fees), the amount and method you record as collected from each customer, penalties and earnings statements.
  • Location — precise location while you are online and during a job, including in the background while a job is in progress, for matching, arrival tracking, distance-based fares and proof of service. Collection stops when you go offline.
  • Job records — jobs offered, accepted and declined, arrival and completion times, start-code entries, checklists, photos, quotes, ratings, complaints and their outcomes.
  • Before you joined (optional) — if you choose to answer, your rough monthly earnings and days of work a week before Jhatpat. Used only in totals, never per person, to measure whether partners earn more after joining, and never shown to customers.
  • Communications and device — masked-call metadata when in-app calling is offered, chat, support tickets, device model and identifiers, push token, app version, IP address and crash reports.

3. Why we process it

To verify eligibility and licences before activating a skill; to match you with jobs and show customers who is coming; to run each job (start code, status, quotes, proof of work); to pay you and meet tax and accounting law; to prevent fraud, resolve disputes and handle safety incidents; to maintain ratings and quality; to comply with regulators' requirements for licensed categories; to send you updates about your application, your jobs and your payments by push notification, SMS and WhatsApp; and to improve matching and operations. Job offers, tips and Jhatpat news reach you on WhatsApp only if you tick that box when you apply, and you can stop any WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP or from Profile → Notifications. The legal bases are your consent (given when you apply and grant permissions), the performance of the Partner Terms, and our legal obligations. Background checks are proportionate to the risk of the service and are carried out through authorised verification vendors and official sources.

4. What customers see

Your first name and surname initial, photo, rating and number of jobs, "ID verified" badge, languages, the skills relevant to the booking and — for regulated services — your licence or registration reference and the name of the licensed entity. When the customer pays you by UPI, the payment QR shows the customer your UPI ID and first name, and their UPI app may show the name registered with your bank. Customers never see your phone number, address or documents; when in-app calling is offered, calls are masked.

5. Who else sees it

Verification vendors (identity and police-verification providers, IMEI registries for buyback), Cashfree and Razorpay (your payments of dues to Jhatpat), Cashfree (payouts and verification of your payout bank or UPI account) and Razorpay (earlier payouts and refunds), Google Cloud (application hosting, Mumbai), Supabase (database hosting and private storage of your documents, Mumbai), Cloudflare (delivery and security), Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications), WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) and its business messaging provider and Google Maps, messaging gateways including 2Factor, insurers and professional advisers under confidentiality, the agency or shop that lists you, and regulators or law-enforcement authorities where required by law or where a customer safety complaint requires it. We do not sell partner data.

6. Retention

Profile and skill data while you are active and for 30 days after deletion; verification documents for 3 years after deactivation for dispute and regulatory purposes; payout, invoice, GST and TDS records for 8 years; location trails 30 days (90 days for disputed jobs); job records and complaints 12 months after closure, longer if a legal matter is open.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct and download your data, withdraw consent for optional permissions, and request deletion under the Account & Data Deletion Policy, subject to the retention above. Requests go to [email protected] and are answered within 30 days. Grievances go to the Grievance Officer, Anmol Mishra, Managing Director ([email protected]), and you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Security

Documents are stored in restricted storage separate from job data, access is role-based and logged, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and staff who verify documents are trained and bound by confidentiality.
